League Software You Can Start Using Today
SportsEngine is built for the top of the pyramid. If what you run is a rec league, an adult social league or a club that outgrew the spreadsheet, LeagueHero gives you registration, payments, scheduling, standings and a public site — free to start.
Where SportsEngine Is the Right Call
SportsEngine is built for large clubs, governing bodies and the compliance work that follows them around: national-organization workflows, background screening, the reporting that comes with running youth sport at that scale. If that is your world, it is the ground SportsEngine was built on, and LeagueHero does not pretend to hold it. LeagueHero is for the organizer who wants a season open this week without an implementation project — you sign up, you build it, players register, and the table keeps itself from there.

What It Costs
LeagueHero
- Free forever: 1 league · 2 seasons · 12 teams, with every feature turned on.
- A platform fee on registration payments — 4% Free · 2% Pro · 0% Enterprise. Stripe's own processing fees apply on top, as they would anywhere.
- Paid plans are self-serve from your admin console — no quote, no call.
- Payments settle into your own Stripe account, not into ours.
SportsEngine
- We do not publish another company's prices. They change, and a stale number on our site would be worse than no number at all.
- What is fair to say in general: platforms sold to large clubs and governing bodies are usually quoted per organization after a demo, and what comes out of each registration is part of that conversation rather than a published rate.
- So ask any vendor — us included — for all three numbers: the subscription, the fee on each registration, and what payment processing costs. Then put them side by side.
Every LeagueHero number above is on the pricing page, where the plans themselves are listed.
Frequently Asked Questions
We are not a big club. Is LeagueHero enough?
That is the case it was built for. A season needs divisions, a schedule, scores, a table and a way to take money — LeagueHero does all five on the free plan, and the public site your players read comes with it rather than as a project.
How long does setup take?
There is no onboarding engagement. You create an organization, add a league and a season, set the registration fee and connect Stripe; the public site exists as soon as you do. The slowest part is usually deciding your divisions.
Do we get our own website?
Yes — a public site at your-league.leaguehero.io with your schedule, standings, rosters and stats, which you compose section by section in the studio and theme in your own colors. Pointing a domain you own at it is not something LeagueHero does yet.
What about background checks and compliance?
LeagueHero does not run background screening. It collects waivers with e-signatures and any documents you require at registration, and tracks who has signed what. If screening has to happen inside the platform, that is a real reason to choose a compliance-first product instead.
